In late 2002, Dr. Gary Wedlake began a quest to form a small PVC compounding business with the goal of satisfying customer demand for smaller quantity orders. At the same time, he found that many smaller consumers were not entirely satisfied with the level of technical support offered by the larger compound suppliers. Thus, Wedlake Industries, LLC was built to house both an extensive laboratory and efficient production lines.

Dr. Wedlake brings over 25 years of PVC experience in sales, manufacturing and development to his company. These experiences have prompted careful consideration of several important keys to success. Chief among these is cost to the customer. By designing our production lines to minimize change-over times and the possibility of cross-contamination between lots, our costs in producing smaller lots are reduced. These savings will translate to smaller costs to our customers. While Wedlake Industries is offering quality products, it also recognizes that the consistency of those products is critical to the processor. The latter is enhanced through computer controls and redundant weighment and processing monitoring devices.
